Your assistant on your website
Your office can also answer the people who land on your own website — before they ever e-mail you, and at the hour they are actually reading. It answers from the pages you approve, takes a message, and can book a meeting in the slots your calendar already offers.
Everything for this lives on the Website Conversations page, in the panel headed Website widget. In the left rail that page is in the group that grows the business — below your outreach list and directly above your mail. That position and the job of the page are the part to match on if your screen names the page differently from this guide — see languages your office speaks.
Three steps to put it live
Section titled “Three steps to put it live”The panel states the shape before you start: Put your AI assistant on your own site in three steps — visitor conversations will then appear on this page.
- Enter the exact address of every site that will host it. The field is Website
address(es), and it wants full addresses like
https://www.example.com, separated by commas. Enter both thewwwand the bare form if your site answers on both. This list is a guest list: your assistant will only start on a page served from an address you named, which is what stops someone else dropping it onto their site with your name on it. - Generate your key. Press Generate key. Before it issues one, your office offers you Choose pages — see below.
- Paste the snippet into your site. The panel shows a short block of code and a Copy snippet button. Paste it once into your site’s HTML, just before the closing body tag, or — better — into whatever shared layout every page of your site already uses. That is the whole installation.
Then open your own website once in a browser. The panel shows Waiting for the first visit from your site until it hears from the assistant, and flips to Integrated by itself. There is a Refresh status button if you are impatient.
If your website was built by someone else, this is the one step to send them: paste this block before the closing body tag, on every page. Nothing else about your site changes.
Choosing what it may say
Section titled “Choosing what it may say”Before your first key is issued, your office asks which of its pages the assistant may share: Only the pages you approve become visible to website visitors. Tick the ones a stranger may read, leave the rest.
You are not obliged to publish anything. Generate key without publishing issues the key with nothing shared, and the panel is straight about what that means: an assistant with no published pages still takes messages and books meetings, it just has nothing to answer questions from. The count sits beside the panel afterwards, as either N pages published or No pages published, so you always know which one you are running.
Some pages carry a quiet notice when you pick them — for example that the assistant will not read out contact details found on that page. Those choices live in your assistant’s settings, not in the publishing list.
Published pages are shared in English.
Meetings
Section titled “Meetings”The meeting slots your assistant may offer come from your calendar’s weekly availability hours — the panel says so, and Manage booking hours opens that editor without leaving the page. If the hours are empty, the assistant simply does not offer a time.
Managing it later
Section titled “Managing it later”Manage opens Widget keys. Each key shows whether it is Active or Revoked and when it was last used — or never used, which is how you spot a key that was issued and then forgotten.
- Allowed addresses on a key can be edited and saved at any time with Save addresses — do this when you add a domain or move to a new one.
- Revoke switches a key off. Any site still carrying it stops showing the assistant. Use it the moment a key is on a site you no longer control.
- Show snippet brings the code block back when you need to install it somewhere else.
Because a key is tied to the addresses you listed, revoking is rarely urgent — but it is there, it is immediate, and it does not need anyone’s help.
Reading what happened
Section titled “Reading what happened”Every visitor conversation lands on the same page, newest first, with the language it happened in and the number of messages. Ones that ended in a booking are marked. Select any conversation to read the whole transcript.
This is worth doing in your first week even if nothing has been booked: the questions strangers ask your website are usually the ones missing from it.
