Chat and voice
Your CEO has one live conversation surface — the voice dock — that stays with you as you move around your office. It can be minimized to a small orb in the corner, or expanded to a full panel.
Typing to your CEO
Section titled “Typing to your CEO”- Type your question into the composer on your overview screen, or open the voice dock directly.
- Your message is reviewed in the dock before it sends — this gives you a chance to edit it — then you send it yourself.
- Your CEO’s reply appears in the dock; keep typing to continue the same conversation.
Chat history — a group of its own in the left rail, holding this one entry and nothing else, between the pair that holds your overview and your office above it and the review queue below it (its group heading reads TALK) — shows your past conversations, read only. Open one and select Continue chatting to bring it back into the dock and keep talking. The position is the part to match on if your screen names the page differently from this guide — see languages your office speaks.
Calling your CEO by voice
Section titled “Calling your CEO by voice”- Open the voice dock and select the telephone handset in its header — the third of the four small buttons along the top, beside your CEO’s name. It carries no words, only the icon; your screen reader announces it as “Start voice call”.
- The dock shows the call’s state as it happens: connecting, listening, thinking, and speaking — so you always know whether it is your turn to talk.
- Turn captions on if you would like to read along with what is said.
- The controls for muting your own microphone and for hanging up are icons in the dock rather than words, like the one you started the call with — hover over one, or let your screen reader read it, if you are not sure which is which.
Your voice and your CEO’s replies during a call are also written into the same conversation thread you would see in typed chat — nothing spoken is lost once the call ends.
Moving between the two
Section titled “Moving between the two”You can start in one mode and switch to the other at any time — typing while on a call, or starting a call from a conversation you began in writing. Your CEO does not lose the thread either way.
